Hello and welcome! Breach is a collection of ideas exploring through music, film and text, a slowed pace of life, re-focused attention and reconnection with my home and immediate surroundings during isolation.
There is a subtle but profound shift in saying you are grateful for what you have and actually waking up grateful. The first is a conscious act, an avatar you climb inside to navigate through the pressures of life. The second? Well…I have only ever truly experienced this falling in love, or cheating death in some wilderness - that is, until now.
Amongst the devastating impact of Covid19, I have rediscovered what matters. Breach refers to the quiet intensity of an altered perspective, using observations of light and sound that bleed through the gaps in the warp and weft of our everyday lives and give shape to our world.
